UAE-based dairy manufacturer Hadaf Foods Industries is adopting the Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform from Rockwell Automation to digitise its production facility in Abu Dhabi. The implementation, supported by Precast FZCO, aims to establish real-time monitoring and data-driven operations at the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) site.
The Plex platform will be used to track machine performance, production output, scrap levels, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). By automating data capture from the factory floor, Hadaf Foods intends to replace fragmented manual reporting with a unified view of manufacturing performance across its cheese production lines.
The project aligns with the “We the UAE 2031” vision, which encourages the adoption of advanced digital technologies to improve food security and supply chain resilience. The cloud-based platform is designed to connect machines, personnel, and processes to provide a digital backbone for future smart manufacturing initiatives.
“By adopting the Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform, we are creating a more connected operating model that will give our teams real-time visibility across the factory floor,” said Mustafa Gul, General Manager of Hadaf Foods. He described the move as a step toward stronger operational discipline and more scalable growth.
Precast, an authorised distributor for Rockwell Automation, is managing the deployment using a structured approach to ensure knowledge transfer to Hadaf Foods’ internal teams. The system is intended to allow the manufacturer to scale its operations while maintaining consistency across regional and international markets.
