A Chinese smart-manufacturing and intelligent-logistics provider, Guozi Robotics, has delivered an advanced intelligent production and logistics system for construction industry machinery manufacturer TZ Group’s greenfield factory. Nearly 200 robots of diverse types now automate the entire excavator production process and the logistics network.
The go-live eliminates multiple pain points for TZ including high-mix/low-volume production and limited flexibility, by automating every step, from the start of the production to the final outbound shipment.
The TZ installation includes mobile-robot swarms at each station that execute precise transfers via dynamic path planning. Within the plant, a matrix of gantry robots, cobots, turnover units and other custom devices performs complex, high-mix operations without re-tooling delays. The installation includes contact-free power rails to guarantee 24/7 uptime.
The project runs on Guozi’s self-developed Line-Side Control System (LCS) and MES, enabling easy data integration between shop-floor devices and plant management.
In the Guozi three-dimensional distribution network materials are classified as large, medium, small and standard parts. Guozi heavy-duty robot family, ANTS for lifting AGVs, and PICKING multi-layer robots and heavy-duty carriers, automatically interface with racks, pallets and bins. Guozi’s AI-driven RCS coordinates hundreds of AGVs with centimetre-level accuracy, supports multiple call-for-parts modes and pairs dynamic storage with smart picking—offering end-to-end visibility from warehouse to workstation.
