FPT Corporation and Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) have signed an MoU to deploy AI and digital transformation technologies across the agri-food value chain in Vietnam. The partnership focuses on smart manufacturing, supply chain management, and precision agriculture.
The collaboration, to run from 2026 to 2028, will implement AI vision, Industrial IoT (IIoT) platforms, and agentic AI for operational intelligence. A pilot phase will establish smart farm models at selected CP Vietnam facilities, with the goal of reducing operational costs by 20 per cent.
The smart farm models are intended to ensure 100 per cent food safety traceability. Following the pilot, the companies plan to scale these AI solutions across CP Vietnam’s wider network of contract farmers to modernise the country’s agricultural sector.
“FPT will cooperate with CP to build a smarter, more connected, and resilient agri-food ecosystem, moving towards AI-enabled smart agriculture,” said Levi Nguyen, CEO of FPT Thailand and FPT Taiwan.
Pawalit Ua-amornwanit, CEO of CP Vietnam, stated that the cooperation would leverage digital transformation across the “Feed-Farm-Food” value chain to deliver high-quality offerings through sustainable practices. C.P. Vietnam currently operates 12 feed mills and multiple processing plants across the country.
