Vietnamese tech firm FPT and industrial developer Amata Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to implement AI across industrial parks in Southeast Asia. The agreement focuses on Thailand and Vietnam, aiming to modernise infrastructure through automated management systems.

The collaboration will evaluate the use of AI for smart utilities management, including energy, water, and waste systems. The partners intend to deploy digital twin technologies and AI-based monitoring to improve predictive maintenance and security. A central “Amata Digital Hub” is also planned to provide tenants with digital services for licensing, billing, and supply chain connectivity.

FPT will provide its FleziPT AI platform and a workforce of 30,000 engineers to support the transition. The initiative includes a five-level AI transformation model designed to move enterprises from isolated AI projects to structured, company-wide adoption. The partnership also covers environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, such as carbon footprint tracking and renewable energy integration.

“The development of modern industrial parks is increasingly shifting toward integrated ecosystems powered by artificial intelligence and automation,” said Levi Nguyen, Chief Executive Officer of FPT Thailand and FPT Taiwan. He added that the strategy aims to build future-ready systems that deliver measurable efficiency and sustainability.

Amata Group currently operates 13 industrial city projects across Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos, covering more than 150 square kilometres. The parks host over 1,600 factories and commercial outlets, employing approximately 350,000 people.
