Texas based ECI Software Solutions has acquired Amper Technologies, a manufacturer of manufacturing execution systems (MES) that provide real-time visibility into shop floor operations.

The acquisition adds Amper’s predictive, AI-powered insights to ECI’s existing product portfolio, enabling ECI manufacturing customers to improve operational efficiency. Amper’s FactoryOS platform connects machines on the shop floor and provides real-time machine, job, and labour data to guide decision-making.

According to a statement from Trevor Gruenewald, CEO of ECI Software Solutions, “The acquisition strengthens ECI’s commitment to AI innovation and adds the missing link between planning and execution in manufacturing operations.”

Amper Technologies’ FactoryOS platform offers several features, including:

• An AI-powered copilot that summarises and predicts performance issues.
• Smart scheduling that sequences jobs automatically and flags delays.
• Live machine insights that capture uptime, downtime, and productivity metrics.
