Hong Kong based collaborative robot specialist DOBOT has launched a range of 30kg industrial cobots and compact precision robots.

The new DOBOT CR 30H is designed to achieve both high payload and high speed. It features a 30kg payload and 300°/s joint speed. The company’s HyperMove algorithm optimises acceleration of the CR 30H and boosts its efficiency by up to 20%.

The new cobot contrasts with typical industrial cobots, with most 30kg cobots running below 200°/s, while faster models handle less than 15kg.

It has a 1,800mm reach and <0.3mm vibration displacement at full load. As such, it is suited for heavy-duty tasks such as palletising, automotive assembly, metal handling, laser loading, and semiconductor transport.

Two variants of the 30H provide for specific needs. The CR 30T (Touch Edition) features torque sensors for drag teaching and collision detection. The CR 30H-Food (Clean Edition) is NSF-certified, with food-grade materials and hygienic design for dairy and frozen food production.

The company has also introduced the Nova 2, which are compact precision industrial robots designed for agile manufacturing

The Nova 2 is designed to overcome space limitations in modern production environments. They deliver full 6-axis capability with a 40% smaller footprint. Its rigid short-arm structure ensures precision with ±0.05mm repeatability. Seamless wired/wireless switching allows flexible deployment and fast line adjustments. They are designed to support agile manufacturing with greater power and adaptability.

DOBOT CEO Peichao Liu said: “Human-robot collaboration is no longer a vision — it’s a reality we’re making accessible through smart, flexible automation. We’re not just innovating in robotics — we’re building a platform for developers to train their own intelligent agents. From Japan to the global stage, DOBOT earns growing trust and goes public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2024.”
