Chinese imaging specialist Crysound has introduced a range of acoustic imaging cameras designed for industrial inspection. The CRY8120 Series are designed for detection of gas leaks, partial discharges (PD), and mechanical deterioration, with 200 MEMS and infrared module.

According to Crysound, the CRY8120 Series detects leaks and mechanical issues ten times faster than traditional methods. It can pinpoint leaks and assess potential losses. A real-time PRPD chart helps identify electrical discharge types.

Technical specifications include 200 microphones, a 100 kHz bandwidth, and enhanced computing power. The camera is designed to pinpoint the smallest and most distant leaks with precision. The test distance has been extended by up to 200 metres.

It also supports infrared modules, enhancing industrial inspection with simultaneous thermal and acoustic imaging displays. This dual capability removes the need to switch between separate thermal and acoustic imaging cameras.

The CRY8120 Series weighs 1.4 kg. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity enable wireless data transmission and quick report export. It has an 8-inch display with 1920×1200 resolution and 13 million pixels. With a battery life of up to 5 hours, the CRY8120 Series can handle extended inspection sessions. An additional battery is available for all-day use.

Crysound’s report software enables real-time report editing and data import via Wi-Fi. It supports both acoustic and thermal data analysis, allowing for offline adjustments and presenting multidimensional views of equipment health status and on-site inspection results.
