City Electric Supply (CES) has partnered Siemens Digital Industries to launch a new division focused on industrial automation and control systems across North America.

The new Industrial Automation Solutions (IAS) unit will provide engineering support for PLC systems, drive specialists, and control panel solutions. The division is designed to support the design and optimisation of manufacturing systems through CES’s network of more than 750 branches.

The partnership grants CES customers access to hardware and software from brands including Siemens, Wieland, Rittal, Eplan, Lutze, and Grace Technologies. The IAS division will also integrate with CES One-Line Service to support infrastructure such as switchboards, motor control centres, and SCADA systems.

“IAS allows us to expand the expertise, technology, and support we provide to our customers through professionally engineered industrial automation and control systems,” said Rich Antonaros, vice president of Centralised Branch Services at CES.

The company stated that the division includes in-house specialists for application engineering and troubleshooting. The technical products will be housed in fulfilment centres across North America to support local branch requirements.
