Connectivity tech provider Belden has launched a number of new products designed for industrial automation and smart infrastructure environments. The new products are designed to boost cybersecurity and network performance in products designed for critical and high availability industrial applications, and range from gel-free fibre cables to extended Ethernet reach and industrial-grade firewalls.

The new products include LSZH IEC-EN Rated Cables to provide enhanced analogue and serial data performance, along with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen rating for standard indoor environments.

Version 1.11 of Belden PROVIZE Suite network planning and commissioning software introduces new features, including network planning support for the GREYHOUND2000 switch. PROVIZE Explorer has a new MultiConfig feature, allowing users to update the firmware of multiple devices at once, saving time. Further improvements ease planning and commissioning even more.

RemoteIP OSP Cables extend Ethernet channel distances up to 215 metres while maintaining low heat levels and minimal power loss. This new addition to the RemoteIP line is compatible with REVConnect connectivity.

The Belden Industrial Firewall IAF-240 is designed to provide scalable, multi-layered protection for critical OT networks. It combines visibility, threat prevention and availability in an industrial-grade compact design.

Hirschmann BOBCAT Switches are now certified to comply with IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 functional requirements. This IEC standard addresses security in industrial automation and control systems.
