Pennsylvania MES provider Aegis Software has completed its acquisition of Simio, a provider of digital twin simulation software and advanced planning and scheduling (APS) solutions.

The combined company will offer end-to-end manufacturing operations management software with advanced planning, AI-powered digital twin simulation, and scenario modelling capabilities. The acquisition brings together the resources and expertise of both companies to enhance their ability to serve customers with integrated manufacturing solutions.

Simio’s digital twin simulation technology enables customers to create virtual replicas of their operations, allowing them to run risk-free what-if scenarios and optimise capacity.

The combined company supports over 2,200 factories in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Aegis Software’s enterprise solution provides a unified backbone across production, quality, materials, and analytics spanning lines, factories, and sites worldwide.
