Industrial computing manufacturer Advantech has launched the AIR-075, an edge agentic system designed to coordinate factory sensors, cameras and manufacturing automation through natural language instructions.
The system features four native 10GbE ports, providing direct connectivity for multiple IP cameras. This architecture allows for real-time video ingestion and processing on the factory floor without requiring external network aggregation switches, reducing system complexity for industrial vision infrastructure.
The unit integrates Advantech’s WISE-Edge Developer Architecture (WEDA) to manage automated workflows. The platform enables operators to interact with enterprise systems, physical devices and robotics using natural language commands, facilitating autonomous decision-making in distributed manufacturing environments.
The system provides official Yocto and Ubuntu support for custom Linux distributions. This Linux integration allows developers to optimise system performance for specific industrial tasks while ensuring deterministic, reproducible software builds across automated fleets.
Powered by an Nvidia processor, the industrial-grade chassis includes a 19–36V DC power input and M.2 expansion slots for NVMe storage, 5G and Wi-Fi connectivity. The unit also features on-module validated DRAM to secure memory supply chains for industrial deployments.
