UK-based healthcare wearable tech company MediBioSense has launched Infinity, a standalone wearable device that combines the functionality of a smartwatch, smartphone, and IoT device into a single platform. Infinity is designed to support healthcare, independent living, and personal safety worldwide.

While traditional consumer wearables focus mainly on fitness and wellness tracking, the Infinity Watch has been designed to deliver clinical-grade monitoring while functioning as a fully independent Android device with cellular connectivity, GPS and IoT capability.

MediBioSense began in Doncaster, South Yorkshire in 2015 and has grown into an international medical technology company supplying healthcare organizations across more than 58 countries.

Designed as an open Android platform, Infinity has applications across healthcare, personal safety, remote monitoring, workforce protection, and humanitarian projects. It is designed to give organizations the ability to develop their own connected systems on a single wearable device.

The wearable is 53 mm x 47 mm x 15 mm. It weighs 40 grams and it has a durability waterproof rating of IP67. It can be worn on the wrist, as a pendant, carried in a pocket, or mounted to a wall.

The launch marks another major milestone for MediBioSense as it continues its international expansion while remaining headquartered in Doncaster.

The company said it is also committed to supporting more sustainable healthcare delivery. By enabling remote patient monitoring, its technology aims to help reduce unnecessary hospital visits, travel, and associated carbon emissions.

Even as it operates with a core team of fewer than 10 employees supported by a global network of more than 100 partners, clinicians, researchers and technology specialists, MediBioSense said it continues to expand internationally.
