Noom and b.well Connected Health have launched “Health Record Connect,” a feature allowing Medicare members to link their medical records with the Noom smartphone health app. The integration is designed to personalise support for weight loss, pre-diabetes, and diabetes management.

Noom is a mobile health app designed for sustainable weight loss by combining cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with food tracking, calorie density guidance (green/yellow/orange system), and health coaching.

The new feature allows members to securely verify their identity and connect clinical records, including diagnoses and lab results. Noom uses this data to automatically surface relevant programmes and tools tailored to the individual’s specific health needs. The initiative is part of Noom’s commitment to the CMS Health Technology Ecosystem.

Geoff Cook, CEO of Noom, said the integration removes data silos that act as a barrier to personalised healthcare. He stated that Medicare members can now connect their records in minutes to receive behavioural health support that reflects their full clinical picture.

The Health Record Connect feature allows Medicare members to verify their identity through the CLEAR platform. Once verified, members can consent to share medical records via the b.well platform. The app then provides tailored articles, mini-courses on diabetes management, and blood glucose tracking. It also includes a companion experience for patients prescribed GLP-1 medications, featuring side effect support and muscle preservation programmes.

Noom has also been awarded the DiMe Seal by the Digital Medicine Society, certifying its compliance with best practices in clinical evidence and data privacy. Members retain full control over their data and can revoke sharing preferences at any time. Noom stated that the integration drives individualised health outcomes by combining clinical care with wearable-monitored behaviour change.
