Embedded Engineers Buy IoT Connectivity!

Engineers that design devices incorporating sensors and actuators are at the forefront of IoT connectivity. Research from the IoT M2M Council (IMC) shows that 40% of embedded engineers are sourcing data plans at the same time they source their hardware. embedded world North America’s third showing will be in Anaheim and will feature over 200 exhibitors showcasing the latest embedded technologies.

The IMC presence at the show last year was well rewarded, with two IMC-led panels at the prestigious conference and one-on-one interviews on the show floor. This year’s IMC activities at ewNA will be significantly expanded!

Analysts estimate that 70% of all wireless devices will soon be “eSIM-only/first”, marking an inflection point for the IoT sector. eSIMs eliminate the need for manual SIM-swapping, country-specific SKUs, and carrier-specific provisioning, all while providing greatly enhanced security.
