Multi-Mode IoT Connectivity Revolution Opens Embedded Doors
Embedded devices increasingly require more than just Wi-Fi or BLE – they must cater to remote sites. Industrial settings, and global logistics. Cellular, satellite, and low power connectivity all have a role to play, often with the same device. Embedded firmware stacks now routinely support multi-mode, dynamic switching, and SIM/eSIM/iSIM combinations. The trade-offs between power/cost and feature-set are real.
Embedded Virtualization Relies on Digital Twin Communication
The digital twin market is expected to realize ca. 40% CAGR over the next several years and affect virtually all significant CapEx. Embedded firmware that is capable of managing itself is quickly becoming the norm, and not just in the highest-end applications. Backhaul systems that can synch cloud and edge applications are usually required, and integration with backbone systems is key.
